Heaven in Maderia- Ohio, that is !

Heaven in Madiera

For a while we frequented this restaurant for lunch but our schedules changed. Fortunately, La Petite Pierre has not. The comfy French bistro feel is still there, the staff is as friendly as ever and MOST IMPORTANTLY, the food is still fantastic! Located at 7800 Camargo Road in Maderia, La Petite Pierre comes with a very high pedigree. The owner, Michele Adrian Vollman's father, is the renowned chef Pierre Adrian, of La Maisonnette. Not to digress, but that was the longest Mobile Guide five star rated restaurant ( 41 years) in the U.S.

The hours that the restaurant are open are the following:

Lunch: Tuesday - Friday: 11:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.;

Dinner: Thursday - Saturday: 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.;

Brunch: Sunday 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Reservations are highly recommended. When you call 513 527-4909 they suggest going to their website- lapetitepierre.com.BIG TIP- Wine prices by the bottle are reduced by 25% if dining between 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Okay, so what did we order? Can't get away from the mussels Marinere-

Garlic, white wine, shallots, etc. Divine, soaking up the broth with Sixteen Bricks toast, carefully, leave room for the meal. As it happens, we barely had enough left to take the photo ! For our entree, don't forget we share everything, so we only had one appetizer and one entree, we ordered the pork belly with grits.

This is where you have to tell yourself to slow down, 'cause it's very easy to want to "chow down". The Executive Chef is Nathan Jolley. This dish came with a spicy shricha remoulade- I know this may sound strange but we don't do spicy- Chef was very accommodating.

An extra amazing plus is La Petite Pierre's " Fill the Pot"- available Thursday - Saturday 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. When we were there the dish was "Crab Bisque", I've also seen "Beef Bourguignon" which we had as an entree the last time we were here... Need I say more !

An additional plus, the bistro seating allowed us to have a wonderful conversation with our fellow diners from Mexico who were relocating to Atlanta...

As always,

Bon Appetite,

In addition, Safe travels

Vivien and Terry
